Finca De La Sol
Finca de la Sol
A Sanctuary of Ancestral Living and Earth Wisdom
Nestled atop the misty mountains of Tierras Morenas, Savegre, Costa Rica, lies Finca de la Sol — a sacred 15-acre refuge where life unfolds slowly, intentionally, and in deep reverence for Mother Earth.
Here, we walk the path of remembrance — not to discover something new, but to honor the wisdom of those who came before us.
This land is a living altar of ancestral connection, a space where we return to the roots of being — in harmony with nature, spirit, and the medicines of the Earth. Inspired by the teachings of the Cofán elders of Putumayo, Colombia, and guided by wisdom keepers of the Amazon, our way of life reflects the original instructions: to walk gently, listen deeply, and give back to the Earth.
At Finca de la Sol, there is no rush. Like the ancestors, we build with time. The jungle is our teacher; the rhythm of nature, our guide. We are humbly reforesting, planting fruit trees, and creating spaces for community and prayer — cabinas, gardens, and ceremonial grounds — all built with intention and love. Until then, our lives and gatherings remain simple, held in the quiet presence of the land.
We live and host ceremonies off-grid, in communion with the elements. Our ceremonial maloca follows the ways of the Amazon — gathered in hammocks, around the sacred fire, beneath the open sky.
Now, with the heart of the maloca open to the heavens, the sunlight and moonlight pour directly through its center — blessing the fire below, illuminating our prayers, and reminding us that light and life are one. In this union of sun and moon, masculine and feminine, day and night, our ceremonies reflect the eternal dance of creation.
The jungle around us is alive with song — guacamayos, toucans, monkeys, and parrots — each a guardian of the space, teaching us how to listen, observe, and belong.
Our gatherings weave together the ancestral medicines of the Earth — Mambé, Ambil, Hapé, and other sacred rituals that arise in prayer. We share drum circles, wisdom talks, nature immersions, and community fires, all rooted in one truth: the sacred reveals itself when we are fully present and united in heart.
This is Finca de la Sol.
This is a return to what is sacred.
This is the Now.
This is You.
The Meaning of Finca de la Sol
The Land of the Earth and the Sun
Finca de la Sol is more than a name — it is a prayer.
In traditional Spanish, one might say Finca del Sol or Finca de la Tierra y del Sol — but this name was born from a deeper intention: the union of feminine and masculine, Earth and Sun, body and spirit. The word la honors the feminine — the Earth, the Mother, the receptive, nurturing force that gives birth to life.
The word Sol embodies the masculine — the radiant light, the giver, the fire that awakens and sustains all things.
Together, they become Finca de la Sol — the sacred meeting of elements, where the Sun nurtures the Earth and life is born in perfect harmony. It is the prayer of balance — the union of giving and receiving, of light and soil, of love and creation.
At Finca de la Sol, this philosophy lives in every seed planted, every prayer offered, every ceremony held. It is a space where the Earth and the Sun live as one — a home for those seeking to remember the ancient ways and awaken the light within.
A Living School of the Earth
Finca de la Sol is not a retreat center.
It is a living school — a temple of nature, a place of remembrance. A home for those called to unlearn the noise of the modern world, to reconnect with the rhythm of the Earth, and to walk once again in balance with life. Here, transformation is not a concept — it is a way of being.
The jungle becomes the healer, the teacher, and the mirror of the soul. We invite you to come not as a guest, but as family.
To share fire, prayer, and silence. To rest in the arms of the Earth and bathe in the light of the Sun.
To listen to the wind, the rivers, and the wisdom that flows through all creation.
Welcome to Finca de la Sol —
where the Earth breathes through you,
the Sun awakens your light,
and every prayer becomes life once more.
The Living Prayer
Every step of growth at Finca de la Sol has been a prayer made tangible — the vision of two hearts walking in devotion with the land.
What now stands here — the gardens, the maloca, the trees, and the humble homes — was not built by wealth or backing, but through love, labor, and unshakable faith in the rhythm of nature.
In 2020, during the stillness of the global pandemic, when borders closed and flights were grounded, we followed the quiet call of Spirit and purchased this land without ever setting foot upon it. Three months later, when the skies finally opened, we arrived to find that what awaited us was more than we had ever imagined — sacred soil, ancient trees, and a presence that felt alive, as if the land itself had been waiting.
Since then, every ceremony, every sunrise, and every drop of rain has become part of our offering. We collect the rainwater that nourishes us, plant trees that one day will feed generations, and build slowly — with our own hands and with prayer in our hearts. Over one hundred trees now stand as living prayers, and we continue to plant with the vision of feeding not only ourselves, but all who come and all who are in need.
Together we’ve built a small home, two casitas, a storage space, a community kitchen, and our ceremonial maloca — now illuminated by the light of the sun and moon that shines through its center. Every year, something new is born: a wall, a roof, a tree, a blessing.
Finca de la Sol continues to grow not as a project, but as a living ceremony — a reflection of faith, patience, and divine timing. Here, everything is created in harmony with the Earth: humble, intentional, and alive with spirit.
This is The Living Prayer — the offering of two souls in service to the land, to the ancestors, and to all who feel the call to remember.

Together We Grow
As the roots of Finca de la Sol deepen into the Earth, a new chapter begins — one that invites the collective heart to grow with us. What began as the devotion of two souls has become a living vision for all who feel the call to walk gently with the Earth.
Our dream continues to unfold through prayer and patience: reforesting the mountains with fruit trees and native plants, expanding the gardens to nourish all who come, and building spaces that bring healing through connection with the natural world.
Among the future creations that are already whispering through the land are herbal saunas infused with healing plants, forest trails that invite reflection and silence, resting spaces along the paths for prayer and contemplation, and tree houses nestled in the canopy for deeper communion with the jungle. We also envision a solar-powered sanctuary, a gathering home for community and ceremony, and other sacred structures that will come as nature calls for them — each one a response to the spirit of the land.
Finca de la Sol is being built as an ecosystem of reciprocity — a place where every act of creation serves the circle of life. Here, growth is measured not by speed, but by harmony; not by size, but by how deeply we remember that all things are connected.
Together, we are planting the future — one seed, one song, one heartbeat at a time.

Gift from the Heart
Every gift offered from the heart helps sustain the living prayer of Finca de la Sol — supporting the land, the spaces, and the souls that gather here. Your generosity flows where it’s most needed — planting trees, building homes, or helping someone join a ceremony they otherwise couldn’t.
From your heart to the Earth, your offering becomes light, nourishment, and growth.
Our Offerings
Offerings born from the heart of the jungle — paths of prayer, healing, and remembrance.
Sacred Gatherings
Ceremonies of Remembrance and Transformation
At Finca de la Sol, we hold small ancestral ceremonial gatherings for remembrance, reflection, and personal transformation. Rooted in teachings and permissions entrusted to us through the Cofán lineage of Putumayo, Colombia, our gatherings invite people to reconnect with nature, prayer, community, and the wisdom of the Earth.
Our ceremonial work is held with preparation, respect, and integration. We gather in the maloca around the sacred fire, resting in hammocks and supported through silence, icaros, wayras, music, prayer, and the living sounds of the jungle. Each gathering includes guidance before ceremony, attentive support throughout the night, and integration afterward so participants can better understand their experience and carry its teachings into daily life.
We share traditional offerings such as mambé, ambil, and hapé within the teachings and protocols of the circle. Gatherings may also include sacred fire prayer, drum prayer, sound healing, meditation, teachings about Amazonian plants, womb wisdom and feminine moon-cycle teachings, guided jungle walks, grounding practices, and individual guidance when needed. These offerings are not guaranteed as a fixed schedule; they arise in response to the needs of the group, the rhythm of the land, and what is appropriate for the gathering.
Our gatherings are held in both Spanish and English. Amaru shares ceremonial guidance in Spanish, the language through which the teachings flow most naturally for him, and Nayara provides fluent English translation so that both local and international guests feel included, informed, and supported.
Some gatherings follow the lunar cycles: the Full Moon Gathering is a five-day experience with three ceremonies, centered on illumination, clarity, and release; the New Moon Gathering is a three-day experience with two ceremonies, centered on stillness, renewal, and new intentions. We also offer One Sacred Night, an intimate one-night ceremony for those called to enter the circle for a single evening of prayer, music, and reflection.
We understand that travel schedules and life circumstances do not always align with set dates. Alongside our lunar gatherings, we may welcome small personalized or private gatherings when availability, preparation, and the needs of the circle allow. This flexibility is offered with care so that each gathering remains intentional, well-prepared, and respectfully held.
These are not retreats.
They are intimate ceremonial gatherings: spaces of humility, connection, learning, and remembrance, where the sacred is honored not as something separate from life, but as something to be lived within it.
For those called to walk a longer path, we also offer 30-, 60-, and 90-day renewal immersions. These extended programs provide a more sustained opportunity for personal reflection, land-based living, preparation, ceremony, integration, and practical tools for bringing meaningful change into everyday life.
